The Great Valley Cook-Off – Formerly Known As Real Men Cook
Formerly known as Real Men Cook, this event is now open to all amateur chefs! Chefs will show off their skills as they serve up tastes of their carefully prepared dishes. Many chefs return each year to participate in this fun event and some of the delightful dishes that have made appearances in the past are: Southern Fried Alligator, BBQ Chicken Strips, Black Bean and Chorizo Stuffed Chiles and Killer Brownies. Guests enjoy unlimited samplings of food and wine/beer. Additionally, up to 30 Central Coast vintners and breweries will be on hand pouring their wines and beers to complement the chefs’ creations. Guests can sample food from a variety of categories, including hot and cold appetizers, entrees, salads, breads, salads, desserts and more. Often referred to as “The Party of the Year,” The Great Valley Cook-Off raises much-needed funds for local non-profit, Arts Outreach who provides arts education for the students and seniors of the Santa Ynez Valley.
